Fostering connection and development
Between 2023 and 2025 the Digital Literacy Initiative built Bhutan a working digital literacy system: 206 trained teachers, 710 laptops, 60 schools across 19 dzongkhags, and a national coding competition the Ministry now runs itself. DigiGyel is the next step of the same programme. Totals below exclude the earlier 2022 pilot.
