While the focus has been on students and their learnings and exams, teachers and school administrators faced some of the most daunting challenges brought about by the pandemic. Almost overnight, classes and course materials had to be delivered through distance-mode putting additional stress on the teaching profession. In these two 2-hour sessions, we will look at how communication, compassionate leadership and cultivating well-being can help navigate through such unprecedented times and future-proof oneself from being overwhelmed again. Covid-19 is not the first global pandemic and it will not be the last. In fact, some argue that such pandemics and lockdowns will be more frequent. While digital classrooms can never replace the face-to-face interactions, online delivery modes and practices can be innovated to help create a more human digital era. FACILITATORS 1. Dr. Dorji Wangchuk, Professor and researcher in communication studies, compassionate leadership and traditional wisdoms. 2. Mrs. Karma Dema Tshering, former Principal of ELC School โ Junior Wing. 3. Miss Tshering Eudon, Wellbeing Program Coordinator at ELC High School. PARTICIPANTS : Teachers across Bhutan as panel participants and Live audience. ORGANIZER: V-TOB Tune in to the Live Stream on this page on 24 and 25 October from 4.00 PM. Thank you Dr. Dorji, Mrs. Karma and Miss Tshering for the collaboration and support.
